My favorites

Like everyone else I take a lot of pictures. Since I mainly take them of my grandchildren it is really hard to pick which one(s) stand out among the others. At this point in time these are my favorites.

Emilie having fun in the sun with water, Sean is an artist at work and Marley feeding Reese.

My babies (two legged ones)

Emilie age 7
Sean age 2 1/2
Marley age 1
I can't believe how fast the kids are growing. Emilie is turning into a young lady, Sean is adding more words to his vocabulary and Marley is trying to walk but just hasn't mastered it yet.

My babies (the four legged ones)

Our newest addition....Reese (1 1/2 years old)
Rossco ( 2 years old)
Cassie (my girl .......10 years old)
As you can see these are my four legged babies. Reese is our newest addition, we are his third(and final) family. We got him a week ago Saturday night and he has fit right in, well Cassie does have some issues with him. He has mastered using the doggy door but choses when he wants to use it to go outside but has NO problems getting back in. He is very loving (as well as the other two dogs) I feel that he is a little under weight. We are waiting on his papers (vets etc) from the previous owner and once we get them he will be going to the vets for a check up.

Time Management and Lists

It is hard to believe that it is October with the warm days we have been having. I turned the AC back and it is sure nice having it on. Cassie (our female lab) appreciates it too…. the poor thing has allergies. At least she isn’t wandering around panting all the time. I have decided that I need to manage my time better. I realize that I am working a full and part time job (my choice) plus I watch the grandbabies often too. I pick Emilie up from school on Tuesdays and have her for a few hours and at some point during the week I usually watch one or both of the babies for some reason or another. While doing all of that I try and get my normal daily tasks done…you know laundry etc. Anyway today I decided I am going to make a list. Deep down I knew I wouldn’t get everything crossed off of my list but I am pleased of what I did accomplished and posting on my blog wasn’t even on it. lol I am going to try hard and keep up with the list making so I can work in some scrapbooking time or just some “me” time. Speaking of scrapbooking I have the opportunity to go on a three day crop this coming weekend in Carlyle and I can't wait. There are 37 ladies from our monthly crop group that are going and we are just one group of three. My daughter in law is going with me and she has never scrapbooked before and will be working on their vacation photos. This should be an interesting experience for both of us. Well I have tried to post some pictures but with no luck. I am sure it is because I am trying to hard or maybe it is because I am getting sleepy. So Amy and Kathy I need your blog experience on posting pictures.

August

I was reading other blogs and notice they update daily or at least weekly. I am not sure I can do daily updates but I am going to try real hard and at least do weekly ones. So while the washer and dryer are going here I am. This is always a busy time of year for me. Once August arrives I have to get my mind back on track getting things ready to start back to my full time job. There is a lot of things that need to be done before that first day of school. Along with the food ordering etc the cafeteria needs to be cleaned too. While doing all of the prep work I am still working at my part time (FUN) job, trying to finish some tasks off of my summer "to do" list, spending time with my grandkids, getting some scrapbooking time in and of course all of this along with my normal everyday tasks (cooking/cleaning/laundry). There are times it seems over whelming but it all works out. We didn't go anywhere special this summer we had planned on going back to S. C. (we went last summer) but with the high price of gas we decided to do some things around the house instead. Our bedroom got an face lift (paint and new bedding). It is amazing what that can do to a room. I want/wanted to paint two other rooms but it won’t be happening at this point in time. I am trying to “DE” clutter if that is all possible. I did take organization to the next level with my scrapbooking and sewing supplies. I have found that there are items I am no longer using and I don’t need to keep. And I do think twice before buying anything new for scrapbooking (other then card stock, as I always need that) I hate for this to be short as I would love to have a "me" day but I have a lot to do. My next blog I will post some pictures. I am sure they will be of my grandkids and of course my dogs. Enjoy your Sunday and the cooler weather.

One of these days

I have been working at the SBF for a little over two years and in that time I have told my co workers that I was going to create a blog......"one of these days". Well ladies today is the day. I know you are going to be surprised (or maybe even shocked) that I got one started. I can't promise you how often I will post or what about but please check back often.
